Farmár – tradície a zvyky 2026 Brings Traditions, Animals, Crafts, and Plenty of Adrenaline to Nestville Park

The second-to-last weekend of the summer holidays at Nestville Park will be dedicated to hard work, farming traditions, livestock, crafts, and experiences for the whole family. On Saturday, 22 August and Sunday, 23 August 2026, we invite you to Farmár – tradície a zvyky, the largest farming festival in the Spiš region.

The gates will open at 9:00 a.m. on both days. Visitors can look forward to a varied programme showcasing the work of Slovak farmers, breeders, producers, and craftspeople. The programme will also feature competitions, music, thrilling performances, and attractions for both children and adults.

A Celebration of Hard Work and Rural Life

We organise the Farmár – tradície a zvyky festival to introduce visitors to the people whose everyday work keeps Slovak agriculture, livestock farming, and traditional crafts alive.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the results of their work, meet farmers, breeders, producers, and local craftspeople, and explore the world behind the food, products, and traditions found in our homes.

For two days, Nestville Park will be filled with the sights, sounds, and aromas of the Slovak countryside. Visitors can look forward to farm animals, equestrian performances by Horses Resort, handmade crafts, local farm products, and an atmosphere that highlights the value of hard work, experience, and traditions passed down from generation to generation.

Courage in the Saddle and on the Backs of Wild Bulls

Popular adrenaline-filled performances will bring plenty of excitement and suspense. The programme will include the Nestville Rodeo Show, where riders will demonstrate their courage, agility, and horsemanship. Spectators can look forward to dynamic performances showcasing precision, speed, and cooperation between rider and horse.

One of the most anticipated highlights will be Nestville Bull Riding. Professional riders will attempt to stay on the backs of wild bulls for at least eight seconds. Each ride will be a test of balance, strength, experience, and determination. Visitors can expect thrilling moments when the attention of the entire venue turns to the rider, the bull, and the clock that will determine the outcome.

Farm Animals Up Close

Livestock exhibitions will be an important part of the farming weekend. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the animals up close, discover different breeds, and learn more about their care and importance in agriculture.

The exhibitions will appeal to experienced breeders, animal lovers, and families with children. We will gradually share details about the animals and further information on our social media channels and in the official event page.

Competitions Where Precision, Speed, and Determination Matter

No farming festival would be complete without unusual competitions and challenges for visitors. The third Nestville Park Pitchfork Throwing Championship will put participants’ accuracy to the test.

Competitors can also take part in the Slovak Žinčica Drinking Championship and the popular Catch Your Nestville Whisky challenge. The programme will feature additional competitions for visitors and spectators.

Registration will take place directly at the event. We will publish the rules for each competition separately before the festival.

A Musical Evening with Peter Bič Project

The farming weekend will also feature a musical programme, including a performance by Peter Bič Project. The music will bring even more energy to Nestville Park. It will create the perfect opportunity to enjoy time together after a day full of competitions, performances, and memorable experiences. We will publish the full schedule for both days soon.

Experience Zones and Attractions for the Whole Family

The event programme will take place throughout the entire Nestville Park grounds. Visitors will be able to explore various themed zones, relax, enjoy food and drinks, and spend quality time with family and friends.

The Nestville Distillery Zone, Fruxi Fresh Zone, and Fruxi Strong Zone will all be part of the event. Children and adults can look forward to horse riding, carriage rides, and rides in electric cars.

Our youngest visitors will enjoy Nestville Farm, Kozičkovo, Ovečkovo, and the Nestville Bocianí svet playground. Children will have the opportunity to spend time close to animals, discover new experiences, and enjoy a day full of activities and fun.

Practical Information for Visitors

The Farmár – tradície a zvyky festival will take place on 22 and 23 August 2026 at Nestville Park in Hniezdne, in the Stará Ľubovňa district.

The grounds will open at 9:00 a.m. on both days. Ticket prices will be announced soon. Visitors will be able to purchase tickets directly at the venue.

Children under three years of age can enter free of charge. Parking will be available directly at Nestville Park. The event will take place regardless of the weather.
