Tickets for Nestville Open Fest 2025 are now on sale.
The second-to-last weekend of the summer holidays at Nestville Park was dedicated to hard work, traditions, animals, crafts, a family atmosphere, and experiences that will not be easily forgotten. On 22 and 23 August 2026, the Farmer – Traditions and Customs festival once again brought together the world of agriculture and Western sports, showing that traditions can still thrive today, authentically, vibrantly, and with plenty of emotion.
Families with children, animal lovers, farming enthusiasts, folklore and craft fans, horse lovers, and adrenaline seekers all made their way to Hniezdne. For two days, Nestville Park was filled with visitors, farm animals, riders, farmers, breeders, craftspeople, music, and an atmosphere that brought several generations together in one place.
Once again, the main idea behind the event was to introduce visitors to the work and achievements of farmers, breeders, producers, and small-scale craftspeople.
Their everyday work is behind many things we often take for granted. That is why Farmer – Traditions and Customs is more than just a festival full of entertainment. It is also a place where traditions meet today’s generation and where visitors can discover how much work, experience, time, and dedication are behind life on a farm.
The programme included exhibitions of farm animals, giving visitors the opportunity to see them up close, learn about different breeds… And introduce children to a world that many of them now know only from pictures and stories.
One of the most anticipated parts of the weekend was the Nestville Rodeo Show. The arena belonged to horses, riders, and Western disciplines. There is experience, precision, mutual trust, and perfect harmony between horse and rider make all the difference. Spectators witnessed speed, agility, and demanding riding performances where mere seconds often decided the outcome.
But rodeo is more than just a sport. It is an atmosphere. The sound of hooves in the arena, dust rising beneath the horses, the riders’ concentration just before the start. And the cheers of the crowd created moments that cannot be fully captured in a photograph or video. They have to be experienced right beside the arena.
A special thank you goes to all the riders who took part in the Nestville Rodeo Show. Behind every performance were hours of training, care for the horses, experience, and the courage to compete in front of a packed arena. Thank you for making your riding skills one of the highlights of the entire festival.
If there was one moment on Saturday when the energy of the entire venue focused on a single place, it was Nestville Bull Riding.
The evening arena brought a completely different atmosphere. Lights, music, tension, roaring grandstands, and riders who faced the challenge of staying on the back of a bull for at least eight seconds. On paper, it is only eight seconds. In the arena, however, those seconds can feel like hours.
Bull riding is one of the most demanding, dangerous, and adrenaline-filled Western disciplines. It requires tremendous courage, physical fitness, experience, and respect. Every rider entering the arena was met with anticipation, and every ride was accompanied by powerful cheers from the crowd.
It was the spectators who created an atmosphere during Bull Riding that we will remember for a long time. The moment the gate opened and the bull charged into the arena, it felt as though everything else disappeared for a few seconds. There was only the rider, the bull, and thousands of eyes following every movement.
A huge thank you goes to all the bull riders who stepped into the arena. Thank you for the courage, determination, and respect with which you demonstrated this exceptionally demanding sport. Every one of you played an important role in an evening that showed just how powerful an atmosphere Bull Riding can create right in the heart of the Spiš region.
The farming weekend was not only about professional riders. Visitors themselves could also become actively involved.
The programme featured the 3rd Nestville Park Pitchfork Throwing Championship, the Slovak Žinčica Drinking Championship. There was also other challenges where visitors could test their accuracy, speed, endurance, and competitive spirit.
These moments brought plenty of laughter, friendly rivalry, and spontaneous reactions from the audience. At Farmer – Traditions and Customs, you are not just a spectator. You can quickly become part of the programme yourself.
A varied musical programme added to the festival atmosphere throughout both days. Peter Bič Project, Victoriya, BB Country, Texas Band, Ejha Banda, and folklore ensembles provided the musical entertainment. Modern music naturally blended with the country atmosphere and Slovak traditions.
Music accompanied visitors throughout the day and provided opportunities to relax between different parts of the programme. Country music could be heard in one area, folklore in another, cheers echoed from the arena. While just a few metres away children enjoyed their own festival activities.
Families with children also had plenty to discover throughout the weekend. Visitors could explore the Nestville Distillery Zone, Fruxi Fresh Zone, and Fruxi Strong Zone. The programme also included horse riding, carriage rides, and electric cars.
Young visitors could explore Nestville Farm, Kozičkovo, Ovečkovo, and the Nestville Bocianí svet playground. They could spending the day surrounded by animals, attractions, and plenty of experiences.
Throughout the weekend, the festival offered something for families, children, animal lovers, fans of traditions, farming life, horses, and Western sports, as well as visitors who simply came to enjoy the atmosphere.
An event is not created by its programme alone. Above all, it is created by people. Our thanks therefore go to all the farmers, breeders, producers, and craftspeople whose presence and work reminded us of the true meaning behind this event.
Thank you to the riders of the Nestville Rodeo Show, who once again demonstrated the beauty of Western riding, harmony with horses, and true sporting spirit.

Thank you for coming. You cheered on the riders, applauded, and joined the competitions. You introduced your children to animals and traditions, filled the entire venue with laughter, music, and energy that could be felt from morning until evening.
Without you, the arena could be ready, the horses saddled, the bulls prepared, and the music playing, but something essential would still be missing.
Thank you for two days during which Nestville Park came alive with traditions, animals, music, the spirit of the Wild West, and adrenaline.
