Scary Tours brought a chilling theatrical performance about the redemption of lost souls
At the turn of October and November, Nestville Park transformed into a place where time seemed to stand still. As the fog fell, the last rays of daylight disappeared. A cold wind swept over the distillery buildings. Visitors felt they were entering a world where the boundaries between life and death began to blur. This year, the Nestville Distillery Exhibition became the stage for a theatrical performance. It was far from an ordinary show. Instead, it told a powerful story of human guilt, suffering, and forgiveness. In the end, it touched the hearts of all who witnessed it.
A powerful story of guilt, suffering, and forgiveness
The story began in silence, broken only by the sound of the wind and the crackling of burning wood. From the darkness emerged two priestesses – Solomia and Artemisia. Their task was to guide souls to the afterlife, helping them find the peace they could not attain in life. In their presence, an ancient tale of a family living beneath Ľubovňa Castle came to life. Once filled with love, the family’s life gradually changed as hardship crept in, bringing pain and sorrow into their home. Tormented by inner demons and weakness, the father began to lose control over himself and his fate. What followed was a tragic chain of events that left behind only silence and grief.
Unable to move on, the souls of this family remained trapped. They remained trapped between worlds, unable to find rest. They wandered in darkness, driven by guilt and fear. Only when the priestesses Solomia and Artemisia found them did their path to redemption begin. The priestesses guided them through memories, suffering, and repentance until they reached light and forgiveness. Their touch was gentle yet powerful, bringing redemption and the silence that signifies peace.

The dark spaces of Nestville Distillery as the perfect setting
Staged within the Nestville Distillery Exhibition, the theatrical performance was crafted with a strong emphasis on emotion, symbolism, and atmosphere. Illuminated only by candles and flickering torchlight, the dark spaces of the distillery created the perfect setting for a chilling tale. Rather than simply observing, the audience became an integral part of the story. Visitors felt the tension, uncertainty, fear, and compassion. In the darkness, one could hear screams of surprise and laughter of relief as people realized no danger was real. Many admitted that the goosebumps stayed with them until the very end, but at the same time, they felt a strange sense of peace – as if they, too, had been freed from something heavy along with the souls on stage.
When thunderous applause echoed at the end and the priestesses disappeared into the mist, silence filled the halls of Nestville Distillery. Yet it was not the silence of fear – it was the silence of reverence and reflection. Visitors left with mixed feelings – of surprise, emotion, and gratitude.

Emotions, fear, and relief in a unique exhibition
Once again, the haunted tours at Nestville Park transformed into a unique event that seamlessly blends history, art, and emotion. At its heart, the story of lost souls and the two priestesses, Salamina and Artemisia, stood as a symbol of hope — reminding us that even the most lost souls can find their way home through understanding and forgiveness.
As in previous years, the script and remarkable performances were brought to life by the artistic agency DIVADELNÝ SVET, a long-time partner with whom we have consistently been extremely satisfied.
This evening will remain in the memory of all who attended as a reminder of the power of theatre, the atmosphere of the dark distillery, and the charm of cold autumn nights. Thank you to everyone who came and was not afraid to step into the darkness, only to find the light in the end.
