On the first weekend of November, we opened the travel diary of the Nestville Whisky brand once again to enrich it with new experiences from our journey to Shanghai – the Pearl of the Orient and one of the most beautiful cities in Asia.
Our story about how we are traveling to Shanghai for the second time this year, and the fourth time to Asia, began at the airport. Among suitcases and quiet anticipation. We were sitting in the departure hall, each of us thinking about what the coming days would bring. We knew we were going far beyond continents, but none of us knew what awaited us in the vast world. We hoped Shanghai would welcome us with open arms. And so it did. But let us not get ahead of ourselves… We want to tell you everything, in detail, so that you can experience this long journey with us once again!
After an endlessly long flight, as the illuminated map of Shanghai appeared beneath us, we knew that another adventure awaited. Every building glowed, every street pulsed with energy, and we felt that we were entering a world that never sleeps.
The next day, as we stood in front of the National Exhibition and Convention Center, it felt as if a modern city dedicated entirely to global trade had risen before us. Giant glass halls, endless square meters, the scents of spices from all continents, and thousands of people arriving with the same excitement as us. All of it created an atmosphere unlike anything we had ever experienced.

The first day of CIIE was a test for us. The tension was thick in the air. It was then that one of our colleagues, holding a cup of coffee, said the sentence that later became the symbol of the entire fair: “This is the moment we’ve been preparing for over many months. Together we will show the world the uniqueness of Nestville Whisky.”
These words grew inside us with every guest who stopped by our booth. When the exhibition gates opened, visitors filled the halls faster than we could finish the final touches. And so began a story we will be telling long after we return home.
Shortly after the fair opened, a young entrepreneur from Beijing approached us. He listened carefully to our story, tasted Nestville Whisky, and said: “Your whisky has a soul. I can feel something in it that we don’t have in Asia. It tastes like home, even though it comes from a place I’ve never been.”
His words touched us deeply. Suddenly we realized that what we do has the power to speak to people across cultures.
Later, an exhibitor from Japan arrived. Holding his glass, he remained silent for a moment and then said: “I can taste the respect for origin in your whisky. Exactly what we try to preserve in our products as well.”
His quiet recognition reminded us that craftsmanship has a universal language.
But the strongest moments came continuously. Our booth turned into a place of meetings, smiles, and conversations we could barely keep up with. Every day brought new business partners, new faces, new contacts. And amid all of this, our team worked with tireless determination, a smile, and humility.
During one short lunch break, when we finally sat down for a few minutes, one colleague said: “When I look around, I realize how far we’ve come… and I know we’ll go even further.”
These words resonated with us for the rest of the day.

The last day of CIIE was full of emotions. Fatigue mixed with pride and gratitude. During a short break, the marketing director of Nestville Whisky said a sentence that captured everything at that moment: “Remember how nervous we were at the beginning? And look at us now… people are coming to us on their own, looking for us, wanting to get to know us. And we’re not even sure if we can speak to all of them.”
These words reminded us how far we had come during those days and how much we achieved.
As the end of the fair approached, tired but filled with pride, we stood by our booth and watched the activity slowly fade. Our CEO paused, looked around, and said quietly: “Guys, do you see this? This is proof that our whisky has a place in the world. We’ve done it again.”
At that moment, we felt that all the fatigue was worth it.
Shortly before the very end, a visitor from India came to us – for the third day in a row. He looked at our bottle and said: “Your whisky tastes like a memory I never want to forget. I can feel the heart and warmth of human hands in it.”
It was a moment that completed the entire mosaic of emotions we had gathered during the fair.
As we left the exhibition center, the lights around us slowly went out, booths closed, and the noise shifted into the quiet aftertaste of the entire week. But inside us remained a strong feeling that we had been part of something bigger than we ever expected. Something that would echo within us long after we returned home.

And then came the time to fly home. As our plane ascended into the sky, we silently watched the lights of Shanghai slowly fade. For the first time in many days, we had a moment to be alone with our thoughts. The mix of emotions was powerful. The fatigue that finally had space. The pride growing with every memory of the days at the fair. The immense gratitude for the team, for the people who came to our booth, for the opportunities that opened before us. And amidst all of that, the quiet realization that we were leaving with something money can never buy.
As the plane rose above the clouds, we felt a strange combination of nostalgia and peace. We were leaving behind a place that gave us more than we expected. And at the same time, we realized that this journey changed us not only as a team but also as people. That when our plane lands, we will no longer be the same ones who sat in the departure hall two weeks earlier, unaware of the great adventure that awaited them.

CIIE Shanghai 2025 is a chapter not only in the travel diary of Nestville Whisky but also in our lives. One of those chapters we will always remember with humility, pride, and deep gratitude.
And that is a feeling you cannot pack into a suitcase, yet you carry it with you for a long time.
Cheers from China! And to everything that is yet to come!
